PDRN Quality Verification Platform

What is the PDRN Quality Verification Platform?

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a polymer composed of multiple deoxyribonucleotides linked by phosphodiester bonds. The quality of PDRN depends not only on its content but also on the size and molecular weight distribution of its DNA fragments. Conventional analytical methods measure only the total DNA content and cannot distinguish PDRN from other DNA fragments. As a result, they cannot fully reflect the quality characteristics of PDRN. To address this limitation, TCI and SGS have established a food-grade PDRN molecular weight distribution analysis platform that provides a more comprehensive evaluation of product quality, consistency, and reliability.

Advantages of the PDRN Quality Verification Platform

  1. Accurate Identification of PDRN Confirms the presence of authentic PDRN fragments within the defined molecular size range of 50–1,500 bp, rather than measuring total DNA alone.
  2. Molecular Weight Distribution Analysis Provides comprehensive analysis of PDRN molecular weight and distribution to ensure product quality and consistency.
  3. SGS Third-Party Verification The analytical methodology was jointly established with SGS, enhancing the credibility and reliability of test results.
  4. Batch-to-Batch Quality Consistency Supports robust quality control by ensuring consistency across production batches.
  5. International Standardization Promotes the establishment of standardized quality criteria for food-grade PDRN, strengthening global market competitiveness.

Development of the PDRN Testing Method in Collaboration with SGS

TCI and SGS jointly participated in developing the group standard "Determination of Molecular Weight Distribution of Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) in Foods" (T/ACCEM 988-2026), establishing a molecular weight distribution analytical method for food-grade PDRN. Many PDRN testing methods currently available can only determine whether DNA is present but cannot verify whether the detected material meets the characteristics of PDRN. The TCI–SGS PDRN Quality Verification Platform goes beyond measuring content by evaluating both the quality and consistency of PDRN, ensuring that every batch meets predefined quality specifications and delivers reliable, consistent product quality.

FAQ

In addition to content, the quality of PDRN depends on its molecular fragment size and molecular weight distribution. These characteristics are essential indicators for evaluating the quality and consistency of PDRN products.

Traditional diphenylamine assays measure only the total deoxyribose content and cannot distinguish authentic PDRN from other DNA molecules. As a result, they cannot determine whether a product meets the molecular fragment requirements that define food-grade PDRN.

SGS is a co-developer of the "Molecular Weight Distribution Determination of Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) in Food" (T/ACCEM 988-2026) standard. Together with TCI, SGS helped establish the analytical methodology and third-party quality verification framework for food-grade PDRN.

Co-developing a group standard is not a regulatory approval, and SGS's involvement does not constitute certification or endorsement of any TCI ingredient or finished product.

The platform verifies compliance with the food-grade definition of PDRN, ensures batch-to-batch consistency, enhances third-party credibility, and provides robust technical support for product development, quality assurance, regulatory documentation, and commercial applications.

Verification against the food-grade PDRN standard is not a regulatory approval and does not guarantee market access; the testing scope and documentation available must be confirmed per project.
